WE HAVE CHANGED OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Effective June 14, 2019, GLYDE (“GLYDE ”) has changed the Privacy Policy for the web site,www.GlydeAmerica.com (the “GLYDE  Site”). Please see our new policy below:

GLYDE is committed to protecting your personal privacy. We have created this Privacy Policy (as amended from time to time, the “Privacy Policy”) in order to outline: the type of information that is collected when using our site and/or shopping online with GLYDE ; how we protect such information; and how you (the “User”) can elect to change your information. This Privacy Policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the GLYDE Site.

The GLYDE Site and the services provided through the GLYDE Site (collectively, the “Service”) contain links to third-party web sites. GLYDE is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such third-party web sites. We encourage our Users to be aware when they leave the GLYDE Site and to read the privacy statements of each web site that collects Personal Information (as defined below). This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the GLYDE Site.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

As used in this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means personally identifiable information such as your name, street address, e-mail address, telephone number, billing address, and credit card information. Personal Information also includes your browser type, domain name, IP address, and how you maneuvered through the GLYDE Site.

We collect and use Personal Information during the online checkout process and at several different points on the GLYDE  Site, such as our e-mail opt-in page, so that we can properly fulfill your orders and we can send you newsletters and other content that you may request. We also collect and use Personal Information so that we can identify general shopping and navigation patterns so we might better understand how to improve your experience with the GLYDE Site. We and our commercial partners also use Personal Information to screen for potential risk or fraud, and to operate and improve the Service, as follows:

GLYDE is the sole owner of the Personal Information collected from the GLYDE Site, except that the Personal Information may be shared with our commercial partners or with an acquirer of GLYDE or its business or assets (“Acquirer”). GLYDE and any Acquirer is permitted and may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in the Privacy Policy.

By using the GLYDE Site you signify that you agree with the terms of the Privacy Policy in effect at such time, and as may be amended from time to time. If you do not agree with any term in this Privacy Policy, please do not provide any Personal Information on the GLYDE Site. If you do not provide Personal Information on the GLYDE Site you may not be able to do certain things, such as access particular areas of the GLYDE Site, request coupons or samples, or send us e-mails.

VARIOUS REGISTRATIONS

In order to receive certain updates or use certain features of the GLYDE Site, you may be asked to first complete a registration form. During registration, you are asked to give your contact information (such as name, mailing address and e-mail address). This information is used to contact you about the Services on the GLYDE Site in which you have expressed interest, such as our Newsletter and/or product coupons. We may also ask for preferences about the type of information you would like to receive in order to aid us in the tailoring of our newsletters. This information may be shared with an Acquirer. GLYDE operates contact lists to reach its Users who request such information. Such services are run by GLYDE, contracted vendors and other commercial partners.

You may opt-out of receiving future mailings and such instructions are contained within each e-mail sent. See also the Opt-out section below.

SHARING

We use third party companies to ship orders, and a credit card processing company to bill you for goods ordered online. These companies may receive Personal Information to help us process your order. These companies will not retain, share, store or use Personal Information for any secondary purposes.  We may also share Personal Information of Users with an Acquirer.

We will not rent, sell or exchange any e-mail address we receive, except in the case of sharing such information with an Acquirer. We work with a third-party e-mail provider that adheres to such contractual standards and policies and we will endeavor to only send e-mails to those Users who have requested it. GLYDE provides a permanent “unsubscribe” link with each e-mail sent. See the Opt-Out section below. For example, we use BigCommerce to operate our online store. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our business or assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred to an Acquirer. Any Acquirer of our assets is permitted and may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in the Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on the GLYDE Site.

BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING

E-MAIL-A-FRIEND

If you want to use our referral service to tell a friend about the GLYDE Site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and e-mail address. GLYDE will automatically send your friend a one-time e-mail inviting him or her to visit the GLYDE Site.

LOG FILES

We use IP addresses to help analyze trends, administer the GLYDE Site, track User’s movement on the GLYDE Site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. We use tags and pixels that electronically record information about how you browse the GLYDE Site.

COOKIES

The GLYDE Site uses “cookies.” A “cookie” is a piece of data stored on your hard drive via your web browser. The “cookies” used by the GLYDE Site primarily store Non-Personal Information.

Cookies simply are a way to help us to identify your browsing session with us and to manage certain specific visit information about you. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our Users to enhance your experience on the GLYDE Site. For instance, cookies will save your login information therefore preventing you from having to manually log into the GLYDE Site every time.  If you reject the cookie, or choose to disable them through your web browser, you may still use the GLYDE Site, however, your functionality may be limited.

BLOGS/FORUMS

If you use a forum or blog on the GLYDE  Site, you should be aware that any Personal Information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums or blogs and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the Personal Information you choose to submit in these forums.

SECURITY

The GLYDE Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. This includes a firewall and 24 hour monitoring of the GLYDE Site activities by our hosting service provider as well as industry-standard secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology on all transaction-oriented operations between you and GLYDE  via our transaction service provider.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

PRIVACY OF CHILDREN

GLYDE does not knowingly solicit or collect Personal Information (that is, name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address) from individuals under the age of thirteen (13) years. If a child has provided us with Personal Information, a parent or guardian of that child should contact us to provide the e-mail address if they would like this information deleted from our records. GLYDE will take all reasonable measures to delete such information from its database and to not use such information for any purpose (except where necessary to protect the safety of the child or others or as required by law).

CORRECTION/UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

OPT-OUT

The GLYDE Site provides you the opportunity and several options to opt-out of receiving direct marketing communications from GLYDE or its commercial partners. By registering for our customer loyalty program, you will automatically receive e-mail newsletters and other information about participating in the program. You may opt-out at any time. This is where you can select the option for removing your user information from GLYDE ’s database in order to not receive future communications.
