On this day, June 26, 2015, in a 5-4 decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court took a monumental step forward in our nation’s progress toward a more dignified and perfect union, by extending the legal right to all Americans, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, to marry the people they love.
As it ultimately will, with steadfast determination and fight, today love won.
But the fight isn’t over. Next stop: Equal Pay for Women and uncompromisable Freedom of Choice.
